The Southern California Theoretical Chemistry symposium – SoCal TheoChem 5 – is a yearly event bridging scientists in the field of theoretical chemistry in the vibrant research area of southern California. Each year, scientists in the field of theoretical and computational chemistry meet in one of the University campuses of southern California to discuss about the challenges and perspectives of the field. This year, we dedicate dedicate the SoCal TheoChem 5 conference to Prof. Dimitrios Morikis, a UC Riverside professor, who was a caring teacher and devoted mentor, passed away May 27, 2019. To keep his legacy alive, we hope that the SoCal TheoChem 5 will inspire young scientists, students and postdocs in the field.
Due to the coronavirus emergency the SoCal-Theo 5 will be held in fall 2020 (or in 2021)
